Achieving Fitness at Home

Being too busy is a common excuse for escaping the weary, tedious exercise routines. Most often than not we think more of our career, too busy minding our career path and goals for a rewarding better lifestyle. This in turn, results in extra hours at work, and less time at home. Others do have the time but just hate the term “working out” asks them to do. Too many reasons just to escape minding your body’s well being could offer consequences. You have a healthy body right now, but what would happen to you in the future if this lifestyle continues?

The Truth about Laser Hair Removal – Is it Right for You?
|
You’ve been battling with shaving forever, or maybe you’re a man with way too much chest or back hair. We see this daily! Sometimes, shaving is just not an option, and waxing large areas like the chest can be cumbersome in the extreme.
There are a lot of things to consider when thinking of laser hair removal. Is it right for you, how does it work, and what are some of the things you need to consider?
How it Works – Light at its Best
Intense pulsed light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the melanin or pigmentation in the hair. The hair is heated and is then transmitted to the follicle. The hair is heated to 158°F for a millisecond, and it is then killed. Hundreds of hair follicles are destroyed by each flash. The heated hairs fall out one to two weeks later. A laser operates on a single wavelength and is theoretically adapted to a single type of skin and hair.
What areas are best for laser hair removal?
The eye area is the one area that is not recommended. Most common areas are the face, chest, upper lip, neck, underarms, back, abdomen, bikini line (Brazilian) and legs.
What you should consider…
Laser hair removal isn’t for everyone. One important thing to understand is the hair should be darker than the surrounding skin. Very darkly pigmented people may not do as well as their lighter-toned counterparts. Therefore, darker-skinned people may need a few more treatments to achieve the same results.
Hair laser requires multiple treatments. This is because your hair grows in cycles, and not all hair is in the same cycle at the same time. Hair needs to be in the anagen phase, or new growth phase, in order for the system to work properly.
There are many other forms of hair removal such as waxing, shaving, plucking, and electrolysis. However, these forms of hair removal are all temporary and may see the hair return after one day. The FDA has approved lasers as a means for permanent hair removal with the understanding that it may take several treatments for this to happen. Many clinics will guarantee results, but it is difficult to say how many treatments it will take for each client.
The Gift is in the Light
The bottom line is this – you can’t beat the results from laser hair removal versus other hair removal means. Laser treatments allow you to feel comfortable baring your skin, and it leaves you with a silky-smooth feel. You will no longer worry about having skin that feels like sandpaper. For men who feel that they have too much chest and back hair, they will have a far greater degree of self-confidence.
Laser hair removal is a fantastic, long-lasting solution to an age-old problem.
