First he explores Italy, France and Germany, three countries whose art histories are among Europe’s most influential – from the Renaissance to Impressionism. Then this young artist crosses the Atlantic into America. From the East Coast to the West Coast he continues his exploration, putting down roots only when he arrives in Arizona, He is struck by the desert’s uncorrupted innocence – an innocence that informs his paintings, metal art sculptures, and photography for the next 30 years.
